Before founding Hayden Frye & Associates, Inc. in September 2003, Mr. Frye had 20 years experience as Director of Surveys, Assistant Director of Surveys, Operations Manager, and Technical Manager for local firms offering Engineering, Architecture, Survey, and Construction services. Mr. Frye attended Old Dominion University and has extensive GPS training through Trimble Navigation in Sunnyvale, California and Herndon, Virginia. Mr. Frye is a President Elect of the Virginia Association of Surveyors, and a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping (ACSM). Mr. Frye has extensive experience in Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Subdivision Surveys, Route Surveys, Railroad Surveys, Hydrographic Surveys, in addition to G.P.S. Control Surveys for both public and private projects.

Paul Hyatt, L.S., has over 25 years of local land surveying field and office experience and has been with Hayden Frye & Associates, Inc. for 5 years. He has performed and managed various surveys which have included residential subdivisions, site plans and ALTA ACMS Land Title Surveys, highway route surveys and construction stake out for state and municipal projects, right-of-way control, boundary and topographic surveys. Mr. Letchford is a British National who comes to Hayden Frye & Associates, Inc. with a little over 25 years of progressive experience within the survey community in Virginia. After leaving the UK in 1985, where Mr. Letchford was an apprentice to become a Chartered Surveyor, he has continued being an active member within his profession and is currently the Central Chapter president of the Virginia Association of surveyors, where he has served since becoming licensed in 2005.

Mr. Letchford will be tasked with developing our firms’ presence in the Richmond market place and will extend our capabilities to cover a region from Washington DC in the north to the I-81 corridor in the west from Harrisonburg to Roanoke and from Martinsville in the south to New Kent in the east.

Mr. Letchford has extensive experience in large scale roadway mapping projects having been survey project manager of two consecutive VDOT state wide on-call contracts and was instrumental in the successful development of the Capital One Corporate Campus in Goochland, Virginia. Along with these notable achievements, Mr. Letchford has been survey manager on multiple renovation projects, from the scanning of the Carpenter Center to the as-built surveying of buildings along Richmond’s “tobacco row”. We are excited to add his abilities and passion for the profession to the team here at HF&A and look forward to being better able support our engineering clients in Richmond and throughout the state.

Mr. McCully comes to Hayden Frye & Associates, Inc. with over 20 years of local Land Surveying experience. Mr. McCully has extensive experience as a Senior Survey Technician and Senior Survey Crew Chief. Todd has over 22 Years of various local, regional and global Land Surveying experience including extensive experience as a Project Manager, Survey Technician, Survey Crew Chief, and Hydrographic Surveyor. Since June 2005, as a Project Manager with Hayden Frye & Associates, Inc., Mr. Schuster is responsible for Estimating, Proposals, Preparing Boundary Surveys, Coordinating GPS Control Surveys, Topographic and Hydrographic Surveys.
